Blogger Is Hosting A Site For Pedophiles

H/T: Stop The ACLU

Blogger is hosting a blog for pedophiles, and I'm going to have to quote Eric Cartman, and say, "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" If they refuse to remove this blog, I'm gone. There are too many other places to host blogs.

Check out the last line of the description of their blog:

In a wider sense this refers to erotic/mentor/spiritual love between adolescents and adults. Building Bridges!

Another thing I found interesting is this reference to the "Boylove Code Of Ethics" (Which sounds like an oxymoron):

6 - Boys should not be treated as sexual objects to be enjoyed at the whim of a boylover.

Duh, you twisted pervert!

There is another line on this blog that I think I have heard somewhere before:

In other words, just because we have a sexual attraction to boys (that we did not choose to have) does not mean that we have the right to pursue a sexual relationship with a boy. That isn't to say that the sexual relationship in itself is wrong. Emphasis Mine

It seems I have heard that line used to justify another alternative lifestyle. Not to equate homosexuality to pedophilia, but these pervs are trying to use the same reasoning. It don't wash.

In conclusion, I don't get how Blogger can host such bile. If they choose to continue to do so, I'm leaving. Not that it will make a difference to Blogger, but I choose to not be a part of anything that associates itself with pedophilia. I've said this other places, but just to make sure you all know where I stand on this: Anyone convicted of a sex crime against a child should be executed. No treatment, no therapy, no rehabilitation, and no recidivism!

UPDATE: I have already designed my new blog in preparation to leave blogger if they do not take action on this.

UPDATE2: Below is a direct copy and paste job from my communication with Blogger on this subject -

Subject: I am about to leave Blogger
Date: Wed, 12 Apr 2006 12:45:44 -0500

To whom it may concern:

I am preparing to leave Blogger. It has recently come to my attention that
you are hosting a blog dedicated to promoting
pedophilia.

I am fully aware that your company has the right to host any blog you so
choose, but I am also aware that I have the right to not associate myself
with those that promote pedophilia. I am shocked, and apalled that
Blogger,a company that I thought was reputable, would host such offensive, and
illegal content as if the internet isn't already dangerous enough for
children. If something is not done about this soon, I am leaving Blogger.

And here is their Response:

Hello,

Thank you for your note. Blogger is a provider of content creation tools,
not a mediator of that content. We allow our users to create blogs, but we
don't make any claims about the content of these pages. In cases where
contact information for the author is listed on the page, we recommend
working directly with this person to have this information removed or
changed.

Sincerely,
Blogger Support

I pretty much figured this would be the type of response I'd get. Luckily I am already set up at another host. As soon as I get the fine points hammered out, I will let everyone know. I'm hoping the next dream post will be at my new blog. (probably wishful thinking.)

UPDATE 3 I don't know if I should be proud of this, or worried.
